EOD expert

Ben is the Managing Director of Praedium Consulting Malta (PCM) Ltd and MAT Kosovo’s EOD & ERW Training Establishment. Ben has been in the EOD & Mine Action Industry for over 25 years. During this period Ben has been at the forefront of an evolving industry, leading innovative projects from the front with his boots firmly on the ground. Ben’s vision of improving standards and focusing on training excellence has resulted in the growing reputation of the Kosovo based EOD & ERW Training Establishment.

For his work in this field, Ben was awarded an MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and was made a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary Club International.

Ben was a former NCO in the British Army’s Royal Engineers, spending much of his service with 59 Independent Commando Squadron RE

Subject Matter Expert

Paul or "Riggers" served over 23 years in the British Army and continues to serve as a Reserve Officer. He has trained, mentored, and deployed operationally with foreign conventional and special forces units in a C-IED role. His specialist areas are COIN, EOD, IEDD, weapons intelligence and explosive breaching.

His vast operational experience has been gained during multiple tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Mali, providing the highest technical levels of support to top tier foreign and domestic organisations. As well as, latterly as a Contract IEDD Operator in West Africa.

In his civilian career he has extensive experience in both the Humanitarian Demining community and as military contractor Counter IED tactical advisor/ IEDD operator. Riggers is currently working in the defence industry as a specialist explosives consultant and Training Director for specialist contracts delivered to international clients.



Equipment Manager

Becca has found herself in the EOD world after completing a Media and Communications degree at Cardiff University and landing herself a job doing the Group Marketing at Alford Technologies back in June 2020. Since then Becca has immersed herself in the EOD world, not only through her work with Alfords, but also by becoming IMAS 1&2 (EOD) qualified in January 2022 at Mat Kosovo. As well as her experience marketing in the EOD world, Becca has experience supporting charities, such as the Wooden Spoon, where she has taken PR and Marketing roles on her local committee.
Becca is a key person for the charity and we’re so happy to have her as part of the Friends Of Ukraine EOD team.
